The Hangover

Okay not really. But I imagine this is what a hangover feels like. Let me back up and tell the whole story.

Picture is sicily 1835. LOL. Okay more like a Friday in 2015. I decided to conduct an experiment. Why? Because if you don't do certain things how can you speak on them. So my experiment was this. I would drink energy drinks for the weekend and see how my any energy increased and decreased. The point of this experiment was to see how my energy was on energy drinks compared to my energy on my awesome natural product NRG.

Okay so Friday I picked up 2 cans of a popular energy drink. I drink one 12 oz can that day. I felt no jitters or anything. I downed the can and instantly was ready to get some work done. I was up until 1:30-2am. I can't tell you exactly when because I don't remember. However, according to my sister I was posting stuff on her fb page at 1:30am. Okay. I had been up since 5:30am. I usually go to bed around 11:30pm-mindnight. So I guess you can say the drink kept me up for an extra 2 hours.

I woke up on Saturday at 8:30am. So here is the first problem. I wake up by 6am everyday. 7 days a week, with no hesitation or alarm clock needed. My body just wakes up at 6am. So this 8:30am thing is waaaay off. And yes even if I am up all night I still get up. Now I might go back to sleep and take a quick nap at some point but 6am, I wake up. I felt a little groggy but I got up because OMG it was 8:30. So I head to get the next can of liquid energy. I drink that down and get moving. I went the whole day without eating. I literally drank water all day. I finally had a sandwich and a banana. That was it. I went to bed around 1am.

Sunday I woke up at 11:30am. You have got to be freaking kidding me. WTHeck man. My head hurts and I don't want to move. And it is 11:30 like half the day is gone. OMG! Okay, Okay, Okay. I get myself together and I get up and drink water. I just cannot believe that it's almost noon and I'm just getting up. My body feels like it refuses to go on another day. All I can think is...why does something that gives you energy shut you down so bad afterwards. Then I have the aha moment. This is why you see people drinking these things as much as they do. You have to prevent the crash if you have to keep going. Ugggh, that's horrible. That means your crash is going to be insane.  How did I come to this conclusion...let's recap.

I had the first can on Friday. I was up and alert. I went to sleep. When I awoke Saturday (the next day) the first thing I did was grab the next can. I didn't have another can for Sunday. Uggh I couldn't have done another one, but I get it. It's a cycle that if you are not careful you are doomed to continue. The headache was enough for me to say no no no. I have never experienced any such thing with NRG. It gives me the nice burst of energy I need when I need it and I don't have to worry about crashing. I'm actually able to pull an all nighter working and still get up at my regular time and keep it moving. I actually did this recently out of town. I was out until 3 in the morning and didnt get to bed until 4:30am. This was after being up since 6am the previous morning. Ha! I was able to get up and be at a conference by 8:30 bright eyed and bushy tailed. I didn't feel like I wasn't going to make it. I didn't have a headache. None of that. You know why? Because NRG is a natural product naturally working with my body not against my body.

If you are looking for a healthy alternative to energy drinks, I say NRG is the way to go. I know I am saying NO to energy drinks. That crash is something horrible.
