What's Wrong With Plan B?

In my opinion nothing. Some would beg to differ but ehh. Who cares about those people? I'm talking to the people who recognize that there are more letters in the alphabet. There has to be a reason why A isn't the only letter. I mean the alphabet does continue on after that. So why not utilize the rest of the alphabet. Now am I saying to go all the way to Plan Z. Ummmm. If that's what the plan calls for then sure, but hopefully it won't get that far. However, I would like to draw your attention to Plan B and you can adjust as you see fit.
Now Plan B, in most business and goal oriented minds, means that Plan A has failed and this is the fallback plan. It is only a fallback plan if that is what you have set yourself up for. An example would be you want to be a Doctor but you don't make it into medical school so you settle for working at the family business. Now as you can see these are two very different career paths. This is where Plan A and Plan B are not even in the same zipcode and those folks who don't believe in Plan B would probably force you to try medical school again. I would kind of have to agree with this but HA thank goodness I have a different equation.
Plan A is the ultimate of ultimate goals. It is the true desire and passion of a person. It is the plan that blood, sweat and tears are made of. But lets say your Plan A flops. It flops big time. Do you fall back or do you charge ahead. I say charge ahead. Make a Plan B. Now you are only coming up with this Plan B after Plan A has flopped. Aaaand, guess what you use as your blueprint for Plan B...Plan A. Plan B is just a revision of Plan A. Whaaaaat? I know shocking. You want to look at what worked. What didn't work? What would you do differently? What can you do that would move you into position to succeed. Let's go back to our Pre-med student turned family business worker example for a second. Pre-med doesn't make it into medical school. Okay, what can Pre-med do in the meantime to keep the momentum going to then try again? This is how we have to think. Some of us fail at Plan A and quit. We go back to what we know and succumb to misery. DON'T DO IT! Do you want a life full of memories or a life full of what ifs?
The reason there are more letters in the alphabet is because they help each other to form great words. Why can't they do the same to help you live in the passion and desire of your heart? Plan B is not the backup or fallback. Plan B is the revision. Plan B will probably rock it out the park and make Plan A look like the prehistoric version of itself. The beauty part about all of this is that Plan B looks a little bit like Plan A so who needs to know that it's Plan B? ??
Don't let your failure at the start hinder you from your greatness at the end.
