IBOtipList at Nove-Noga. The Unofficial Training for IBO Toolbox. Don’t Be a Zero Anymore:
“Don’t be a Zero anymore.” That is what I feel like saying to a few of our newer members. IBO Toolbox only works if you Use It. If you have Zero Press Releases, Zero Comments Given and Zero Stars, you are not making IBO Toolbox work for You.

This Press Release was originally posted on 5/18/2013. That was just before the release of IBO Toolbox V2. With the release in the Spring of 2016 of IBO Toolbox V3, things have changed even more. Therefore, what follows is essentially a complete rewrite.

*Note: At the time of this rewrite, 9/12/2016, the IBO Member Viewer is no longer updating for Comments Given and Comments Received. To get the right view, be sure to visit their Profile. Feel free to let the Help Desk know of the problem.

IBO Toolbox is designed to encourage you to use it. Your Completed Profile Star is the most important. Completing your Profile provides the information necessary to becoming part of the IBO Community. It also earns you 500 Credits that can be used to initiate your Advertising at IBO Toolbox. If you do not have a 468x60 Banner set to display on your IBOsocial pages, you are giving away one of your best advertising resources.

With your Profile and Advertising Stars active, the next important Star is for a recent Press Release. If this is still a Zero for you, try introducing yourself to the IBO Toolbox Community. Your Press Release Star lasts for 48 hours and you are allowed to post up to two Press Releases per day.

The next two Stars are for Wall Activity and PR/Video Reply/Comment Activity. Some of our IBO members do not seem to understand the difference between “Wall Activity” and “Press Release Comment Activity”. This is especially true now that there is virtually no Visual difference between a Reply made on the IBO Wall and a Reply made on a Press Release. Except for one thing. If you have Five or Six IBO Stars, your Press Release Replies earn you 5 Credits. (10 if you are an IBO Contributor.)

In the Spring of 2016, the Wall Posts and Press Release Comments changed. Now, our Comments are Replies. To Reply on a Press Release, Scroll to the bottom of the Press Release and Click "REPLY" on the “owner's main post” in IBO Member Comments. If your PR/Video Comment Activity Star has not appeared, you will usually need three to five comments to activate it.

You may be wondering why you should leave a Reply. Every time there is a Reply on a Press Release, the Wall Post travels The Wall again giving even more people the opportunity to Read and Reply on the Press Release. If you have Five or Six stars on your User Level indicator, then you earn credits for each first Reply on a Press Release. If you leave a nice comment/reply on another member’s PR, it is likely that they will follow you back and comment/reply on one of yours, sending it for another trip across The Wall. Does that help?

*Note: Wall comments now show on their Press Release Posts.

You need to make a few Wall Replies/Comments each day to keep your “Wall Activity” User Level star active. I recommend a nice comment for the Featured Member of the Day, a few “Bumps” for your Associates and greetings to the new IBOers as you invite them to be Associates. It is also a good Idea to end your day with a Wall Reply/Comment.

The most important are the Press Release Replies/Comments. They help us know when we are producing good content and information. They let us know who is supporting us and they give us the opportunity to earn free advertising credits for our Replies/Comments.

So, I will go ahead and say it, “Don’t be a Zero anymore.” If this is not your first day at IBO Toolbox then you need to get with the program and start leaving a few friendly comments as you read your way through the great information here at IBO Toolbox.

Try this for an experiment. Post a new Press Release. Then spend the day Reading and Commenting on the Press Releases that you see on The Wall. Check on your PR occasionally and leave a “thank you” Reply for each person that has Replied/Commented on your PR. Then follow them back and Reply/Comment on one of theirs. One thing is certain; you won’t be a Zero anymore. Just check the “Comments Made” counter on your IBOsocial pages and watch it go up. Notice the numbers on those who are commenting on yours. You won’t see a single zero there.
