Nove-Noga.Info Takes Off
As related in the previous Press Release, “ Prepares to Fly”, I launched the newest addition to Nove-Noga yesterday, I set it up on using one of the Domains that I had parked over at GoDaddy.

I wasn’t expecting it this quick. Looking over my existing pages for Nove-Noga, I begin to realize how complicated things have become. Even if I strip this back to the Index page, Cascading Style Sheet File and the images in use, I will have quite a bit to rearrange.

There is the Primary Meta data to consider. That is your Title tag and the Meta description and keywords entry. This is a very important first step in your SEO efforts.

Then there is the Facebook open graph metas for Like and subscribe. These are currently set for and may need to be changed. There is an image reference that contains the complete Nove-Noga address for the images files. For the moment, I will leave this intact.

I will need to make sure that I have the images available for the references that I do make. Some can probably stay at but the Favicon and some others need to be copied into the current Images file for the new Domain. Don’t forget to check for any images referenced by the CSS file.

It should be noted that you can get away with using an abbreviated address for local links and images that are within the same folder tree. For any that will be accessed by the outside world, you may wish to make sure that they are complete. It can help keep you from having dead links generated by outside files.

The difference in references is;
Local: rel="nofollow" href="images/favicon.ico"
Complete: rel="nofollow" href=""

Next we have to Google page connections. These too may need to be adjusted for the new domain.

Looking over my Menu Links, I realize that some are in the Local mode and need to have the Complete address inserted. See the reference above.

My Facebook Like Links need to be adjusted for the new domain. I will need to review the Google Badge as well.

At the moment, is serving as a practice page for my next website project. I need to know if the service is worthwhile and where I will need to make adjustments. I have added a list of useful links that will be useful in the coming process.

The next step is to add this new account to my Filezilla File Transfer Protocol tool. From the email setting up the new file I need the Host, Username and the Password that I used to setup the new domain. Note: I did not use the same password as the Login. That one was written in clear in my email. This one is masked so that my access to my website remains secure.

Unlike my GoDaddy files, these need to be uploaded to the public_html folder. I will begin by uploading my image folder and my CSS file and my new index. I had a little trouble creating the image folder. It did not appear after I tried to create it manually so I had Filezilla upload the whole folder. After a couple of tries it succeeded and I can see the new images folder.

A quick refresh of the new site and there we are. A brand new webpage posted in relatively short time. I can see that I forgot to add a very important resource to the list so I added it and made a couple of other changes to the page. Now that the information is in my Filezilla Client, I have only to select the right one from the list and upload the new changes.

For the time being, I will be using as practice field for my next website. In the process I will be adding PRs detailing the usage of the Free Services that I used to build the site and the information that goes into creating a modern HTML5 Mobile capable site. Any inquiries and questions will be greatly appreciated.
