Completing your IBOsocial Front Page

What is the Front Page?
The Front Page is your First Impression when a Visitor goes to your IBOsocial Profile. The view profile Link from the IBO MEMBER VIEWER takes you there. So does a Click on your Name in the IBO Member Comments of a Press Release. Completing your IBOsocial Front Page is like putting on the face of your business.

It gets the point across but nothing more. Not to mention, if your name ends in “s” it can look funny. (Two “s’s” makes it worse.) Even if it is the only change you make, please change the opening greeting.

Why do you need to set up a nice FrontPage?
First Impressions are Very Important. Your IBOsocial Front Page is the first thing that your Associates see when they Click in from the MEMBER VIEWER in IBO Toolbox or anyone visiting from another Press Release. Think of those you have viewed. What caught your Eye or your Attention?

What kind of approach do you want?
You have many options. The IBOsocial Front Page Editor is the same Content Editor that we use to publish our Press Release. The effective width of the display area is about 515 pixels. I recommend a maximum image or video insert width of 504 pixels. (The same as Facebook Timeline Posts.) *Note: Please remember to include width and height.*

Enter your Text straight on the page or copy and paste from your prepared information. Use the Formatting tools in Display mode to change size, color and presentation.

You may wish to include Links to your Website, Social Networks or even your eMail accounts. Remember to make the Links live with the InsertLink tool [the World and Link Icon] in the Content Editor. Select the Link Text in your Content, Click the Icon, Enter the URL, perhaps Enter the Tooltip and Click [OK]. (Alternatively, you can insert the link code in HTML mode.)

In the Design mode, Click the place you want your Video to appear. From the Menu Bar, select the InsertVideo Icon [Red Play Button]. In the {Insert Video} Dialog box, paste the Embed Code from your Video Source and Click [OK].

*Note: Check the Width of your display in your Embed Code, I recommend 504 with a Maximum of 515. Otherwise your display will be improper sending the wrong signals to your visitors. *

In the Design mode, simply Click on the place you want the image to appear. Then Click on the InsertImage Icon [Mountains and Sun]. In the {InsertImage} Dialog box, enter the URL. You should also include a “Long Description” and the “Alt Text” but Please enter the Width and Height. Again, you can insert the Image code in HTML mode.

*Tip: To create a centered Image, first create a centered paragraph in Design Mode. Insert the Image within the paragraph. Check the results in HTML mode.* 

Clickable Images:
To make an image Clickable, you can add the Anchor Tag (see below) to your inserted image in HTML mode. For this purpose, using the Anchor Tag below, your existing Image Code is considered an Element of the Anchor Tag. Or, you can insert the entire code for your Clickable Image in HTML mode.

TARGETURL: The URL for the Link Destination.

MOUSEOVER TEXT: Text to display when your Mouse Indicator Hovers over the Image.

SAFE WORDS: Words to display if the image fails.

IMAGEURL: The URL for the image on the Internet.

*Note: Images must be Hosted for use in your PRs, Front Page and Advertising. If you don’t have access to your site, consider, *Free Image Hosting. *
*Free Means Free!

Width and Height: Insert the dimensions in Pixels for Width and Height.
Example for the Cool Image below: width=”124” height=”123”

*NB: This is a good place to find your Link to your IBOsocial Profile. To the right of your Basic Information you will see MY IBOSOCIAL PROFILE. The link above your Visitor Stats is your Link to your IBOsocial Profile. Your Name in the IBO Toolbox Header will also take you to your IBOsocial page. I recommend adding it to your favorites.

Scroll down to STEP 5 – IBOsocial Front Page.

*Note: As you do, take a moment to review the first three sections. Is your Name Properly Capitalized? Did you complete your location info? Does your Profile Image project the presentation you want?*

Things to Avoid:
ALL CAPS or all lowercase.
Poor English. You’re responsible for your choices.
Bad Links or Bad Graphic URLs.
Long Videos. Keep it short. This is an Introduction not a Presentation.

When your changes are complete, Click [SAVE].
Always Check Your Links. Go to your IBOsocial page and make sure everything works as desired.

Always Check Your Links:
Once you have saved your Front Page, Be Sure to go to your IBOsocial Page and Check your Work. Make sure that each Link and Image you set up perform according to your desires. A misplaced character can cause a world of problems. Remember Rule One: Always Check Your Links!
