Are People Becoming More Desperate, Or They Still Don't Get It? desperation, network marketing tips

I guess I have had more "junk" mail sent to my email account this year than any other year; and I'm not really surprised about that because I've been to a lot of sites lately, and used certain keywords during researches. Some of them just come in at random, even without my visiting any site. It can be annoying, I know, but these things will always happen. The reason for that is because a lot of marketers today are more desperate than ever. I can understand the fact that people are trying to make head way in this industry of internet/network marketing; but constantly bombarding people's email inbox with headlines such as "This is the best money making system in world" will not guarantee any success. There's always a new product coming on board the platform; and there's always that set of people who are easily tossed by the wave of things. You get stuff like - "Hey, it's happening over here; ground floor opportunity, get in and secure your place!" Ok, pardon me for being lost in the picture; but hey, I'd rather be lost in it than be on; why? So I don't lose my credibility. It's not enough for me to tell someone about how amazing the new pre-launch-ground-breaking-top-of-the-world-opportunity/product is. What can I actually do for that person, to help him/her to also make head way in life. People have become more and more greedy and selfish, forgetting that they need to build a TEAM and help their team members as well. If you understand how "Paying it forward" works, then you will know that as soon as people join you, it's not about you anymore; it about them. You need to now focus on helping them also get people (Who are willing) to join. Then you can teach them how to also pay it forward. That's duplication in another language. So we should all stop exhibiting desperation, and focus on building a good name for this industry. The reason a lot of people are becoming more skeptical about the internet/network marketing industry is because of these "Desperados", who only look out for themselves; making this wonderful indsutry look like a scam. If you're on to build a solid business, then do it the right way. It doesn't matter how many times you hear this, it still needs to be said - "Network Marketing is a business of people". That means we have to get to know people properly, and be genuinely interested in what they are doing. Be the person who will uphold the intergrity of this industry, and also help others move forward; then sit back and watch what happens afterwards...

 | | Hey Sherman, that's the vibe we should bring out. Thanks for your input. |
| | | | | Hey Otaobasi, another great post and yes I see a lot of "desperados" in the industry. We are definitely in the business of people and this should be the vibe. Thanks for sharing!!!! |
| | | | | Cece & Sigurd you're both right. The desperation comes from the fact that people were either told the wrong thing, or they had the wrong motive when they got involved. Any business that's more profit driven than purpose/people will always struggle. Thanks for your comments. |
| | | | | Article I do like a lot, and yes I seen it to, and the desperation part, well I see it everyday every hour..people even starts to act Bad on others business, coz they see others get better responce then them..a Bad business way I belive..Sorry I feel for them. This article must be read by many. |
| | | | | You are dead on, if you help others get what they want, then will you get what you want. |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | @Ally: That's right! If your team's successful, then you're successful.
@Kris: You're right when you say it comes from lack of wisdom. Thanks for sending the word out to twitter. All the best. |
| | | | | Otoabasi, great words of wisdom! Everyone really needs to realize that this is a people business. I think a lot of times desperation steps in due to lack on knowledge! Thanks for sharing this and I will send it out to Twitter for more to see! Much Success to you! ~ Kris Karafotas |
| | | | | Great work. I get the same emails and just delete them. You are 100% right in saying that network marketing is a people helping people business. If your team are successful then you are successful too. |
| | | | | Hey Allison, I missed you there. This industry is definitely a people business. Without people, there's not networking, unless we'll be networking with the air. Thanks for your comment, all the best. |
| | | | | I appreciate that Chris. Send the word out... God bless. |
| | | | | Otoabasi - GREAT blog! You are so right when you say "network marketing is a business of people". Really good insights, thanks for sharing. |
| | | | | All I can say is ~ I agree 100%. This information needs to get in the hands of many. |
| | | | | You're absolutely right Mar. I guess people just keep an eye on people's email addresses just to send them unsolicited emails. Thanks for your comment; the blogs will definitely keep coming. |
| | | | | I find that when I offer my e-mail address on my video's people sometimes send me junk mail, and I think some people just try to figure out e-mail addresses and send spam. My company is rated by how much spam we send, so I stay far from it. Keep the blogs coming. |
