There is a Surge and a New Revolution

As we view the news that is reported around

the globe today it can be frightening and depressing.

We have not faced world-wide calamity such as this

since 1941 began our involvement in the last World War.God Weighs Our Prayer

God weighs our Prayers Instead of just Counting Them!

As the Easter/Passover season drew near Pastor Perry

decided to see how his young adult students felt about

their out-look for the future.

He asked the class what their favorite scriptures might be which give them comfort and hope in their lives.

Sadie Smith one of his brightest students said "I think it would be

where Jesus told them

'Marvel not I say to you, that You must Be Born Again.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh but when

you become born of the Spirit you become a

spiritual being.' in John 3:6-7.

Fast Eddie, the class clown said "I like what Paul said

"I would not have You Ignorant Brethren!"

giving out a typical laugh

"Concerning those who have deceased. That you be not sorrowful as others which have No Hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so those who have died in faith, He shall bring them resurrected with Him when he shall return.' Romans 1:13 and 1Corithians 4:13-14

"Yes, That is good Eddie. But Paul was not calling his brothers ignorant. He was just assuring them of the reality of eternal life and the resurrection." said Pastor Perry.

"What would you say was the scripture that gives you hope in the days we are living? the pastor asked Eddie's brother (also an Eddie, not the fastest thinker and usually called slow Eddie, middle name of the brothers is the same)

"You know pastor, I always liked Matthew 9:10

Jesus said, And it Came To Pass!"

"Ha! That is silly! What does that mean anyway?"

 laughed Fast Eddie!

"Well the way I see it with all that is happening in the troubles of the world, the economy, politics, wars, threats to health and environment.

I just rest peacefully with the knowledge that God is in control and nothing we face will last forever so we will come out alright.

"It Came To Pass" as everything has always done before

so I am not afraid of what comes our way." was the

profound wisdom of the other brother.

"I think you have the best answer of all the class. When remember all of the promises of God in the scriptures. It always shows the Old Testament as one of Laws and works as men try to obtain righteous acceptance from God and the New Covenant is the covenant of Grace and a rest. Where we realize that God is in control.

I know of no other faith that gives reconciliation as a free gift without works since we could never atone for our transgressions ourselves.

Christ gave himself in our place to provide the

acceptance that no man's works can ever earn."

Beautiful thoughts Eddie, Eddie and Sadie"

"I Well am pleased with your responses. So let me tell you the

scriptures that give me encouragement in these days.

As Paul wrote to the Corinthians "We speak to you the

wisdom of God in a mystery which none of the princes of this world knew.

For had they known they would not have crucified the Lord.

But it is written, Eye has not seen nor ear heard neither have entered

into the heart of man what God has prepared for them that love him.

But God is revealing them to us through the Spirit.

The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit

they are foolish to him for they are spiritually discerned.

 1 Corinthians 2:7-14

"While most people are focused on the cares of this present

world as they contend with making a living they often neglect

the more important things involved with the making of LIFE!"
