The Class 10 board examination was conducted from March 5 till March 31 and had  11,48,000 students appearing for the examination. While Class 12 board examination was taken by 7,69,000 students and was conducted from March 1 till April 3. A total number of 20,00,000 students appeared for the high school and senior secondary school examinations.

Since mass cheating had become quite common this exam season, the MP board too took cognizance of the whole matter and set up various measures to prevent the use of unfair means. In a slew of measures taken, some of them were; the board had asked the exam centers head to register a criminal offense case against students who were caught cheating. The punishment entailed a fine of Rs. 5000 and 3 years in prison. In order to check the prevalent mass cheating, students were asked to take off their shoes, in case of girl students, they were asked to remove their jewelry. This kind of conduct was carried out in exam centers which were marked sensitive by the board prior to the exam. MP Board 12th Result 2018

Not only this, at least 33 schools conducting the MP Board examination, were found to be having at least 40,000 students from other states and hence maintained extra cautiousness. These schools better known as tour schools were located in MP’s Morena district. Apart from students, teachers were also not allowed to use any kind of electronic devices, such as mobile, laptops etc. MP Board 10th Result 2018

These measures actually worked in the board’s favor as no incident of mass cheating was reported from the state but 2,085 cases of individual cheating were reported, which still remains a minuscule number.

The MP Board also introduced a new system for disabled students wherein they were given laptops, tablets, and separate question papers. An extra hour for each exam conducted and a time gap of at three days between two papers was given to these students. MPBSE Result 2018
