Life can be strange, there’s no doubt about it. It’s kind of like a movie at times in that there is a beginning, a middle and an end. Being in it, where ever you are is key. Feeling it, experiencing it and living it makes it worth it. As humans we tend to make life hard for ourselves. John Prine hit that nail on the head when he wrote “That’s the Way That the World Goes Round”. His lyrics are:
“I was sitting in the bathtub, counting my toes when the radiator broke and the water all froze. I got stuck in the ice without my cloths, naked as the eyes of a clown. I was crying ice cubes hoping I’d croak when the sun came through the window and the ice all broke. I stood up and laughed, thought it was a joke, that’s the way that the world goes round. That’s the way that the world goes round, you’re up one day, the next you’re down. It’s a half an inch of water and you think you’re gonna drown, that’s the way that the world goes round”.
I don’t normally do large quotes in my blogs but this one is just too important to ignore. If you’re working from home in a home based business you love, you’ve succeeded. Maybe the money isn’t coming in yet. Maybe you’ve experienced total frustration and fear of failure. Its possible your friends and family still think you’re just a dreamer. Dreamers who put their dreams into action are the real winners, not the social automatons that criticize them.
Congratulations for having the stamina and big picture thinking to know that the prize is in the end game. All of your work and preparation is laying the groundwork for a huge future. Its true that the faint of heart have failed at the networking game but if you’re still in it, you’re one day closer to freedom and self determination in life. The courage you show isn’t a lack of fear, its action in the face of fear. That courage is one foot in front of the other until the universe finally says, “Okay, this one deserves the prize, here you go tiger, congratulations”. So, congratulations again, you’re a success working from home.
