Have you always had a secret desire to work from home? Does, “being your own boss” sound very sweet to you. It probably does because it is. Working from home, if you’re making good money, can be fantastic. Having a home based business has so many advantages its hard to list them all in one short blog. Here are some of them:

You might just as easily sum that all up with “You run your own life”. I’ll admit it, I’ve closed a transaction on the phone while chopping garlic for an incredible lentil soup I make but that isn’t really the typical way to do it. You need to develop a schedule and stick to it. I have a fairly tight routine I start at 6:30 AM. Same things about the same times everyday. However, if push come to shove and your significant other calls and says we forgot to get salmon for the barbeque, you can snap into action and save the day, (without getting fired). Schedule your time, but be realistic.
Making money in a home based business is simple, but its not easy. The vast majority of people fail. The vast majority of the really successful people, fail but don’t. That’s really the big secret. How long are you willing to struggle before fate gives you a pass and lets you through the success door? Don’t forget, its lonely at the bottom, and that’s where everybody starts. Listen to the successful people in your upline. Don’t reinvent the wheel. Do what your trainers are telling you to do. Its been done before. In my primary company, its just four simple steps. Do them over and over until you succeed. A work at home life can be very good, but it’s hardly ever very easy.
Are you a decision maker? If you aren’t you won’t like the number of decisions you’ll be forced to make in your business. Don’t forget, You’re the CEO, the boss, the first and last word in your business. Employ long term strategies. If you do, you may never have to work for anyone else again. Be sure to mind your attitude and posture. You are the first impression of your company so wear it well with confidence and persistence, (even as you struggle in the beginning). Your company will reflect your work ethics and your decision making. Partner with a trusted winner.
