Conquer Procrastination (Part 1)
goals, home based business, procrastination, discipline, work from home

 VISIT WEBSITE (learn more)

Most of us know what we need to do to achieve our goals; the problem is that too often we just don’t do it.

“I’ll start my diet… tomorrow.”

“I’ll make those calls… on Monday.”

“I’ll go exercise… later.”

Why is that? What is the problem? It’s procrastination. Procrastination is when knowing what we need to be doing right now to accomplish our goals becomes less appealing than doing what we’re currently doing – watching TV, reading blogs, or reading the sports page. All thought of dreams and goals disappear and all we can think about is NCIS or the Cowboys’ record.

Most people procrastinate in some area(s) of their lives, but it seems rampant in those who strive for success in a home based business. It’s just one of life’s cruel tricks that something that requires so much focus and discipline also creates the perfect atmosphere for procrastination.

Are you working from home, know you’ve made the right choice with regards to the vehicle you are using to achieve your goals, but are struggling? If you take a hard look and determine that procrastination is, at least in part, responsible for your struggles, take hope. There are ways to conquer this monster.

Over the course of the next few blogs, I want to share tips that will hopefully help win the battle with procrastination.

You got me. I have these projects I need to do but I often end up clicking for credits rather than work on the projects. Or...I'll make a priority list and reorder it over and over.

Ron Bagley   302 day(s) ago
Right, Bill, often it's just "not knowing what to do next". That can be very intimidating. To the point of doing nothing.

Bill Bateman    302 day(s) ago
It's a huge factor - the fear of failure is often the underlying culprit. Or the simple lack of knowing what to do...next. Looking forward to the next chapter in this one.

Excellent blog on procrastination Ron. It's so hard for so many people to just take that first step. Maybe the reason is a fear of failure or something. Reminds me of a quote: "You may delay, but time will not." ~Benjamin Franklin

Ron Bagley   302 day(s) ago
I've not heard that expression, but it is so very true.

Hello Ron, it is so true like you've put it. As the saying goes "Procrastination is the thief of time."
