King Solomon's
Secrets to Success, Wealth and Happiness Part 2

This is my take on Steven K Scott national bestseller book
"The Richest Man Who Ever
Lived"
(Chapters 3 and 4). Steve Scott flanked out of every job he
held in his first six years after college. He couldn't succeed no matter how
hard he tried. Then a friend challenge him to study the Book of Proverbs. Steve
started to apply to his life a set of principles described in the book, and in
two years he became a multimillionaire.

Today, Steve Scott is a billionaire and my friend and
partner. He is not only a great businessman, but an extraordinary human being
as well. Here is Part 2 of his book King Solomon's secrets to success, wealth
and happiness:

How to develop an empowering vision

for each important project and priority in your life.

King Solomon identifies a power source so potent that can
radically change any area of your life and the changes begin as soon as you
start to use it.

I am talking about the power of Vision fueled by Hope.
Solomon's concept of vision and hope is different from our modern concept of
them. Nowadays, they've become more of an abstract concept. We think of vision
more like a "dream", and hope for us is like a "wish".

For Solomon, VISION is a precise, clearly defined goal with a detailed plan and timetable for achieving it.

Vision is so important, that Solomon says that "where
there is no vision, the people perish", Proverbs 29:18.

Without vision, the joy of living is replaced by the mere act of surviving, of
just "getting by". Gaining a clear and precise vision can bring
renewed life to our dreams and innermost being in any area of our life.

How can You gain a vision for your top priorities?

What do you want to achieve in your career or business? In your short term and long term
finances? In your relationships with your family? If you haven't written down
your dreams for each one of these areas, I can assure you that there is almost
no chance that you will ever achieve them.

The best way to define your vision and establish a road map for achieving your dreams is to use the Vision Mapping Process. Here are the steps:

1. Starting with your most important dream in any given area, write a clear and precise description of that dream. You can include a picture of what
fulfilling that dream might look like.

2. Create a "Goals Page" and write down all the intermediate
goals that will need to be achieved to fulfill that dream. This step converts
your dreams into specific goals.

3. Create a page for each Goal and label it "Goals to Steps". In each page list a goal you want to achieve and list the steps that you need to take to achieve it.

4. Next take any complex Step on your list and create a "Steps to Task" page, to list the different tasks needed to complete that step.

5. The final step in this process is to assign completion dates to each task and step. Once you've done that, you are ready to go!

As you write your goals and steps, most likely you will see that there are some areas in
which you will need to partner with others, due to lack of resources or
know-how. Effective partnering and choosing the right partner is an essential
strategy for success (more on that on chapter 6).

In case you are wondering...YES, YOU REALLY NEED TO
WRITE ALL OF THIS OUT!

Remember that you want to create a DETAILED ROAD MAP and
timetable for achieving your dreams. It may look overwhelming, but you don't
need to do it all at once, you can do it one dream at a time, a few minutes
each day. Just make sure to complete it!

Having a defined vision and road map to achieve your
dreams, will give you HOPE, because you will be able to see your destination
and realize how to get there.

"Hope
is a well founded and confident belief that a specific vision (goal, desire or
promise)will be achieved or fulfilled within a specific amount of time".

As you complete each step towards achieving a goal, you
will get more hope to help you achieve the next step. Hope is the fuel that
keeps you moving toward achieving your dream, and as you progress towards it,

more hope is produced and more progress happens.

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but desire
fulfilled is a tree of life". Proverbs 13:12

If you procrastinate and fail to complete your tasks and
goals, hope will start to diminish and slip away. When that happens, you lose
your emotional energy and motivation, your creativity and productivity. Sooner
or later you give up on your dream, and start to just "get by".

On the other hand, if you do work toward your clearly
defined vision and dream, you will experience a new level of joy and
fulfillment in your life. We can also help others fulfill their genuine dreams
and desires and this will bring a new source of energy to your relationships
(marriage, work, friends, etc).
 "Desire
accomplished is sweet to the soul..." Proverbs 13:19

Question: What hopes you
would like to pursue by creating a vision map?

In the next press release, discover Salomon's "key that opens any door".
