How to Improve Your Email Marketing Letters

Email marketing can be improved with a few simple tips.
Subject lines have special requirements. Think of one that genuinely reflects
the content of your marketing letter. Try it out on a friend. Can you believe
one of my mentors used “Secret Code Cracked” as part of a campaign that resulted
in 2200 enrollments in two years for a product called x-treme x2o?
Don’t let what you want customers to do get lost. Make it clear what you
want them to do and what they will have in return. Understanding what the customer
wants is critical. Address an immediate need of your reader.
Avoid $$$ or other signs like #, !!!, ***, or ~ . Why not let words do the
work? For example, “Think of how much you can save by acting now.”
Avoid over used and abused word and phrases: “Like” and “You know” as filler
words, “whatever”, “think outside the box”, “literally”, “no problem”, “awesome,”
and “it’s not rocket science”. I am sure you can think of others. Be careful of the word
“Free” unless your offer really is – it raises a red flag.
