Unexpected Surprises: Day 16 Thank and Grow Rich

“We get whatever we look for—100 percent of the time. I would argue it’s irresponsible to look for anything less than unceasing joy.” ~Pam Grout

Today is a new day. I feel good. I feel rested and I just gotta say it again, it’s a new day! I’m still on this magnificent journey of spending a few minutes everyday writing down the things that I am grateful for and then sharing them here and posting them on twitter. One of the main things that I am recognizing during this little experiment is that even when you think there’s little or not much to be grateful for, God or this universe (or whatever you call the Higher power or thing, if you believe) will reveal to you just how much you do have. It comes to me through writing, through nature (like when the sun peeks through the trees or when there are unexpected pops of color along deadening or plant and tree dormancy phased areas—where all is gray or brown and then seemingly out of nowhere, there’s a little hint of a bright red or yellow—an unannounced and stimulating surprise). It comes to me through the changing colors of fall, through little babies who laugh and little kids who wonder…..

Tell me how you are inspired or what you feel grateful for in the comments below…..

Here’s my three for the day:

1) I’m thankful for seeing and spending some quality time with my oldest son who lives out of town.

2) I’m thankful that we could check out a new restaurant and check out the rooftop deck.

3) I’m thankful for getting a discount in Home Depot—another unexpected surprise!

Did you have any surprises today or in the last few days that made you laugh or smile? Please share your good tidings below. We all benefit from the positivity and joy that you choose to share with the world—your thoughts, ideas and words create a ripple effect! Be an agent of good

"His gifts are sure, eternal, changeless, limitless, forever giving out, extending love and adding to your never-ending joy.”
