Day 23: What a Wonderful Day to Thank and Grow Rich

What a wonderful day to be alive, to be here on the planet! What a wonderful day to just say, thank you. Thank you (insert your own version of Universe, Higher Power, or God here) for another day, for another opportunity to get this thing called life right!

Quick, think of 3 things to be thankful for today and share them below in the comments. I can't wait to read about what's going well in your life. When we share, we also send ripples of good vibes into the universe. If you can't think of anything, trust me, you can! Stop it! You are alive and online. You have air to breathe. You woke up! You had something to eat or drink. There is always something! Don't ever forget that!

Here are mine:

1) I’m thankful that I was able to sleep late. Truly a rare occasion! It was nice!

2) I’m grateful that I found some new and interesting recipes. Yum, yum, comfort food season, here we come!

3) I’m thankful that my son and I went shopping (and were able to get a little quality time in….when your kids grow up, you have to be thankful for whatever time you can get....LOL)

Why I share my thankfulness?

I’ve embarked on a 30 day experiment, based on a book called “Thank and Grow Rich” by Pam Grout. She asks us to identify 3 different things every day that we are grateful for. The idea is that the more we think about and focus on the good, the more we have and the better we feel. I have to admit that focusing on “what’s going well” definitely puts me in a better mood. Reading other people’s reasons for gratitude also makes me feel good. The more I identify with what’s going well, the more “good” things just seem to 'magically' show up!
