Getting Happy: Day 29: Thank and Grow Rich

I don’t know what’s going on with me (well, that’s not entirely true) but I can’t stop giggling and laughing. Yesterday, I was talking to a friend and I could not stop laughing. This morning he called and my funny bone continued. I do believe that all of this up-beatedness ( yes, I made that up) has to do with my gratitude experiment.


The way I see it, laughter goes hand and hand in with joy. And joy just happens to go hand and hand with with gratitude. This journey has led me to an overall better feeling everyday.


Do you want to feel better?

Do you need a little more joy?


An extremely easy way to begin living a fuller life is to start taking a few minutes everyday and just give thanks. Take it a step forward, write down a couple of things (hint: leave us some ideas about what you're grateful for in the comments). Then, take another step and start making a daily list or start a small gratitude journal. It all counts. It will all focus your attention on some of the (many) things that are going right in your life, that are working for you.




Giving up my 3 pings of grace:

1) Thankful for refreshing eye drops. Something told me to pick up a mild eye wash for my eyes. I wasn’t sure why they were feeling irritated but they feel so much better now.


2) I’m thankful that I was able to pick up some beautiful sunflowers on the cheap. 2 bunches for $5! I love flowers and keeping them in my home just makes me smile!


3) I’m thankful for Free Sweet Tea from one of my local grocers. Every Friday, a local store in my area gives out a freebie and last week, it was Sweet Tea. Yum! Yum!




Did you know that when you begin to give thanks for what you already have and experience, more and more will seemingly show up?


Well, I dare you to start and I can’t wait to hear all about your moments of grace.
