A Few Tips for 2017
Hey hey hey it’s the New Year 2017 upon us right. Oh well at least that’s what everyone’s saying and so many write down a bunch of stuff and made their New Year’s resolutions. You close the year out with a bang. Your intentions are all well and good, how awesome yaaaa!!!!.
But, by the time January 15th comes around, everything by far still looks the same. You look around, and nothing’s changed since December. Of course, this sends your mood off into a negative direction, and this starts the vicious cycle of “Maybe Next Year.” Oh wow trouble oh yes big trouble But hey just start 2017 on the right foot and here are 5 tips I present to you. Read on….
Now here is a treat for you:
This type of behavior going through a list of a dozen resolutions every month gets practically very old. By the time you are done, you will probably forget where you’re going. Your goals will become fuzzy, and you won’t be able to accomplish anything. Instead of making a long list of resolutions, just pick one WORD. This word forges my path for personal growth.
Make a List of Nos, the NO:
If you’re like me, saying no isn’t easy. When I’m not aware of my doormat tendencies, I easily feel so guilty into doing things I just don’t want to do. Over the years, I’ve given away so much free advice and suggestion; probably valued into the thousands. So now, in 2017, I decided to set some boundaries. You don’t have to be rude; just be true to yourself, be concise and clear.
Admit Your Weaknesses
Oh this is a huge one, just admit to yourself that your imperfections is admirable. When you come to terms with your faults, no one can use them against you. For example, I’m absolutely terrible at accounting. By far I should paid someone to keep track of my business expenses. If I attempt run it on my own, mess things up, make dollars mistakes, then get extremely frustrated and upset with myself. Focus your time and your efforts on what you’re good at and accept your weaknesses.
Hold yourself Accountable or have a partner to report to.
This is what you not to do and that is to make a list of 100 things to do every day as that is not realistic. Instead, write down at least 1 thing to get done each day and as you get it done then increase it to 2 per day and so on. Focus on your goal and then reward yourself when you accomplish them.
Think about “How Will I Give Back?”
When you do so you will find yourself so pleased with yourself and your journey will become so much fun. I think the most successful people in history are the ones who contributed to society. It doesn’t always have to be financial. Maybe you want to take on an intern, and show them the ropes of your business. Or, take some time out of your hectic weekly schedule, and volunteer at the local library.
