During this time of year, everyone is busy during the things that they have been during for generations!
We tend to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season; shopping for that gift to give to that special someone, the children, planning the holiday meals, planning trips to see love ones that lives in other cities, and just making sure that everything's in order for Christmas Day!
In all this that we're doing, we seem to forget that one little awesome person: " JESUS", without whom, we wouldn't be here.
We have soon forgotten the reason for this blessed season; the day that "Our Savior" came into this world for the remission of our sins! For that reason along, we should be excited for this day, not because of the gifts that we will receive, because Jesus is the ultimate gift.
We should be excited because He was born, and that we should be celebrating His birth and not just a holiday!
I remember when I was growing up, it wasn't so much the gifts, because we didn't have much, but we would be soooo excited about a week before Christmas!
We would get together, with our music sheets and get in the middle of the road, we live in the country, nothing but woods, which was so awesome, and we would sing Christmas songs up until Christmas Day! Oh what a time we had, just enjoying each other and looking forward to the Southern food that only we Southerners knows how to cook!
Looking back, those were the days that we knew the True Meaning Of Christmas!
Oh, how soon we forget.
This holiday season, let's give back some of the Love that was so graciously shown to us that glorious Christmas morn when Jesus was born. Let us not forget the True Meaning Of Christmas, because Jesus is the reason for the season.
