Deputy rescues loose donkey on Chicago highway

Yesterday it was ducks on a California Highway, today it's donkey's in Chicago! I think there might be an opening for a political pun there but I will keep it to myself this time, hahaha.

April 19 (UPI) -- A sheriff's deputy's body camera was recording on a Chicago highway when she got out of her vehicle to round up a loose donkey.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office said the donkey was spotted in the middle of traffic Thursday on Interstate 90, near Arlington Heights Road, and the deputy was able to escort the animal to the side of the road.

The sheriff's office tweeted body camera footage of the deputy's donkey encounter.

The donkey, which was found to be named Dusty, was returned to his owner.

"Shrek was nowhere to be found," the sheriff's office quipped.

Meanwhile, elsewwhere in CHICAGO, a monkey was fixing ambulances?

Loose monkey found in Chicago ambulance service garage

April 18 (UPI) -- Animal control officers responding to an unusual call in Chicago ended up rescuing a monkey at an ambulance service garage.

Chicago Animal Care and Control said officers responded Wednesday to reports of a stray monkey in the ambulance service garage and they arrived to find the scene exactly as described.

"Our staff responded to a call of a stray monkey in an ambulance service garage," the agency said in a Facebook post. "We rescued her and are working to reunite her with her family."

The post said officials are working to identify the owner of the escaped pet and will verify that they have the proper state and federal permits to keep the exotic animal.

I guess today's motto would be Don't monkey around in Chicago or you will lose your A$$.

From the pen of our own Joseph T. Riach and his newest book, "WINNING BIG IN LIFE AND BUSINESS" - I just started the book and in Chapter 2 Tom shares "A Lesson In Humility" This is a truly powerful Chapter that deals with the inward man and speaks to issues that everyone must understand in order to have that inner harmony and joy.
