I tried about 12 MLMs since 1983 and finally realized that I believe in the posturing and hype too much (present company excluded) so I started researching mentors to help me think better about the myriad of opportunities out there.

I was very good in sells and that's what puzzled me - why not in MLM? Because it is a substantially different animal and corporate models mostly don't work well or very long. It takes a 5-Pillar company to succeed, long, long term.
That is my primary focus, slowly learning the ropes of permanent success built on capacity and integrity of the company with a long history of resonating proof.
So if I am able to become comment neutral (not influenced by them) my thought is it is just as easy to bad mouth a company as it is to over hype it. Both cases are stated opinion with perhaps various sets of documentation and proof but they still impact me the same.
I will save this long story for another time but if we get involved in a relationship too deeply too quickly, we spend a lot of time trying to justify the relationship instead of looking at it openly and verifying we are in the right place.
I stick to my opinions not so much because I am right but because I think I have found the right solution and want to share it. But that does about as much good as me trying to convince a stranger why I love my spouse. They have no point of reference mainly because the stranger and I have no relationship where we have shared common interests, etc.
Ironically this is exactly the model that does work in MLM - in simple under stated words; know, like, and trust first then a person becomes a willing participant. A longer road to be sure but what a solid foundation that is and it doesn't keep turning over nor do I have to convince people to stay since I never sold them on the product or concept in the first place.
