I Just Got Banned From PayPal!

My apologies in advance for the 'negative' post.

But let's face it...alot of us knew this was coming (with more to come). The affiliate marketing industry is facing some challenges with payment processors.

Fortunately, I am not heavily invested in PayPal and began scaling back my use well over a year ago. I highly suggest you begin the same search for alternatives.

My sincerest hope for my IBO friends is that you are not too severely affected. Has anyone else had these issues?

Bitcoin and credit card are now my go to methods of payment!

Here is the email I received from PayPal this morning:

We've permanently limited your account

After a recent review of your account activity, we've determined you are in violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy. As a result, we've permanently limited your account.

Please remove all references to PayPal from your website(s) and/or auction(s). This includes not only removing PayPal as a payment option, but also the PayPal logo and PayPal shopping cart.

Per the User Agreement, when PayPal permanently limits an account due to an Acceptable Use Policy violation, any funds on your account are held for 180 days. After 180 days, if applicable, we'll contact you with information on how to withdraw any money in your PayPal account.

Should any chargebacks result in your account balance falling below zero, then you'll also need to settle the amount owed to PayPal to avoid further action.

You can find the complete PayPal Acceptable Use Policy by clicking Legal at the bottom of any PayPal page.

Here is the notification message after logging into PayPal:

You can't use PayPal anymore.

At PayPal, we value a safe community for our customers to do business. We noticed activity in your account that’s inconsistent with our User Agreement and we no longer offer you PayPal services.

Any bank or credit card information linked to your PayPal account cannot be removed nor can it be used to create a new account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can’t send or receive money. Any money in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we’ll send you an email with instructions about transferring your money.

Thank goodness my major traffic sources and programs do not rely on PayPal. I am one of the lucky ones...some have been seriously hurt recently.

It's time for a better alternative.

All the best to your success!
