If you have your own business, you have to decide on what internet advertising method works best for you. You’ll have to decide whether you’re going to use expensive internet advertising methods or the inexpensive ones?

  • Pop-ups.
    Not only is this expensive, but also outright annoying for many. Your visitors close pop-up windows without even bothering to know what they’re all about. This is an internet advertising method I don’t generally recommend. Fly ads are derivatives of pop-ups which are also equally irking to the visitors.
  • Paying the search engines.
    How does this one work? When someone types in a keyword related to your site, your URL is included on the first page of the top results. Strategic use of pay per click allows just that. Expensive, yes, but when done correctly can be very effective.

Advertising your new business is a must… but you don’t have to spend huge amounts of money just to get some decent exposure for your company. There are ways to make your business be seen and felt without doing overkill with your advertising expenses.

You’re going to need a website before you can make use of these low cost Internet marketing strategies. So go create one or hire a web developer. It will display your products and services. This will be used in employing the following Internet marketing techniques.

  • Blogging.
    If you’re not yet blogging… get on the bandwagon now and begin blogging about your product and services.   • Writing Articles
    When you put quality content in the form of truly informative and keyword-rich articles on your blog and website along with your products and services, search engines are more likely to index your website. You can either write your own articles, re-write PLR articles, hire an article writer, or get them from article directories that allow you to post these articles on your website as long as you keep the resource box or the author’s byline in tact. Just don’t stuff your articles with keywords that even idiots would get bored of reading. The readability and freshness of your articles will still be the basis of whether your visitors will keep on coming back to your website or not.
  • Links
    One of your goals should be to attain a good ranking with search engines. One way to do it is through link building. This could be done through trading links to other businesses that are related with yours. One method that can get you good results is through link exchanges. Depending on the websites that you would like to exchange links with, this tool could even cost you nothing at all. Contact the author or owner of the web site you want to have a link exchange with.
  • Web Forums
    Expanding your reach through joining online forums that discuss stuff regarding or related to your products and services is another inexpensive advertising option. Actively posting responses or answers and asking relevant information will build your reputation as that forum’s member and boost your company’s visibility through your signature files. These signature files that include links to your website are those little text messages that go with your every post.
  • Social Media Marketing
    The whole landscape of marketing has been altered now that social media sites have become popular. The results of social media advertising is phenomenal as every conceivable product or service that man desired was suddenly on the internet.

    One of my favorite and most recently most effective is using video on my websites, blogs, and social media. Video is a far better way of expression compared to text and more likely to get the attention of your visitors. This form of communication may entail a lot of resources, but it is all worth it.

    Think of how this powerful tool is in showing your prospective customers your line of products or your services. It’s just like showing a commercial all for free. You show your product, people watch it. If they like it, they buy it. If you present it good enough, they’ll buy the product even if they don’t need it. People like to see what they are going to buy. Some would like to see proof and be sure that they are getting their money’s worth before spending their dimes on it.

    All you need is your web camera, microphone, video software, and lights. As long as you know how to use your camera, then you can create a video. Invest in a good web camera. The higher its resolution, the better the output. And you like to present your goods in the optimum way so get the best one possible. Make a short story, or just capture your goods in one go. Get those creativity juices flowing.

    Nowadays, the more creative you are in presenting your product to the market, they more you are likely to succeed. Videos offer an interactive way of selling. You involve the customers. You instill in them the advantage of your goods. And at times, those are enough to make a sale.

  • E-mail Marketing
    As one of the best cost-effective Internet marketing tools, e-mail marketing is a very important method of keeping your customers aware of your products and services. Just make sure to avoid spamming or soon enough you will problems due to complaints.


    Sending out newsletters to your subscribers (those who signed up for your newsletters) will help greatly in establishing a good working relationship with your customers or prospective customers. It has to be short, sweet, consistent and written for a general audience.

  • Pod casts and Webinars.
    This method of advertising is becoming more inexpensive for the average user every day. The key to this method of advertising, and what might cost you a bit of money, is adverting the webinar itself and getting visitors to your presentation. Don’t overlook this method of adverting because it can be extremely effective.
Inexpensive versus expensive, that’s always the question people have whenever we’re trying to get something. In general, you can get faster results with the more expensive methods but with a little patience and some footwork, you can produce good results with the less expensive methods. In the area of internet advertising, just be wise enough to figure out what will suit your needs. Go for what you want as long as you are getting visible results.
