Below are 7 steps that you should take before you proceed to create a video.
1.What is it that people are looking for that you have?
-What solution do you have?
-What information do you have?
-What formula do you know that people are looking for?
Example:
If you figured out a way to help people lose weight easily, that would be something that people would want to know!
2.What does a stranger need to know to recognize you as an established expert and so they can relate to you?
Example:
Nobody is going to know if you struggled with your weight.So if you are giving tips on losing weight you will want to include a brief message saying something
like "I too struggled with my weight.
If you told them that you went from weighign 180 pounds to weighing 140 in 2 months you would make a connection with your viewers.They will be more willing to listen to you.
3.The Police Lineup?
-What does the person that you are creating your video for look like?
-Where do they live?
-What are there emotions?
-How much weight do they have to lose?
-How old are they?
-What color is there hair?
Obviously we all have customers with all different types of looks, sizes and ages.
The reason for this is ; when you can get in the head of just one person you are picturing , is becasue you are going to connect better and you are going to deliver the message in a way that the person needs to receive it.
4.What is your viewers challenge? What is their biggest obstacle?
Get back into the mindset of how you were feeling when you were overweight and remember what you were feeling and share this with them.
5.What is the opportunity for them if they do this?
Example, if they lose the weight they will be able to do more things that they enjoyed doing before they became overweight. Things like water skiing,hiking,biking and so on.
6.What 3 things are you going to teach them?
As a general rule share 3 things you will teach them. You can teach more things if you wish. This is up to you.
7.Call to Action: Explain to the viewer what you want them to do next.
