The Faceless Ones - Being Recognized

Published on 6/13/2019

My topic the Faceless Ones was derived from another request to be friends.

Today as I accessed my IBOtoolbox social page, I again noticed another request, which I keep  getting from time to time, to accept a friend request.

The same thing happens on other social media.

As a rule I do not accept friend requests from faceless people.

So I searched Google for "the faceless ones" and low and behold there are 7,320,000 results.

This is what Wikipedia says about the Faceless Ones:

The Faceless Ones is the mostly missing eighth serial of the fourth season in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in six weekly parts from 8 April to 13 May 1967. The story concerns a race of identity-stealing aliens known as the Chameleons. It sees the departure of Michael Craze and Anneke Wills as the Doctor's companions Ben Jackson and Polly. Only two of the six episodes are held in the BBC archives; four remain missing.

That! however is not what I am talking about. Moving on.

Why would you know what someone looks like and believe that they would accept a friendship request from you not knowing what you look like? Would you?

Most people are happy being average.
Most are happy being faceless in a sea of faces.

Robert Kiyosaki

You cannot expect to have success and be faceless. It just doesn't work. It is a turn off. You need to show your face. Not your logo nor the picture of your favourite or dog, cat or object.  IBOtoolbox admin has made that point often.

I would love to make my music and be completely anonymous, but that doesn't work. You can't have success and be faceless.

Sarah McLachlan

Some may disagree and arguably, it depends on what it is you are into. It may even be questionable. The faceless ones can operate behind the scenes and you never know who they are. But, in an industry as the Internet and Online Marketing that, to my mind, would  defeat the purpose of relationship building, trust and helping others, as well as the success you may be seeking.

What's Next?

  • Upload a picture of yourself
  • Where it is required fill in the details...your profile
  • In the case of IBOtoolbox it is completing your profile and there are short 2-3 minute videos that walk you through doing that.
as well as constant reminders on your Dashboard of doing so, and how to.

It is important that this procedure is considered a priority as it is how you are exposed in a positive light and begin to create interest.  Otherwise how would people know with whom they are dealing?

After you have completed the process you then make a friend request which will be accepted. Unless of course you are doing something unethical. Members will begin to read and comment on your posts.

IBOtoolbox is a very interactive community where we learn from each other, mostly through our press releases.

Have something to share? Let us see who is sharing and to whom we should be responding.

I leave you with a great poem taken from Think And Grow Rich - the poet unknown

"I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

"For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

"I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid."

Have a Great day and don't remain among the faceless ones. Thank you for stopping by.
