Power Words and How To Use Them Effectively In Writing Good Ad Copy

Let's take a quick look at some of the "power words" used to create good ad copy. The word "NEW" represents a novelty or something that hasn't been saturated yet. People are naturally attracted to something new, new car, new CD, new game, it's just our basic nature. "Epic" is new lingo for the word awesome! The pinnacle of greatness, inspiring and life changing. "Dynamic", a word used in conjunction with energy, a force that makes something happen. Paradigm, a form of a thought process similar to the "paradigm of Relationship Marketing", a concept or a movement. A shift in philosophy. "Save", we all know the power of this word,, lol, although in times of a recession, sometimes we aren't saving if it is a product we wouldn't have normally purchased. "Proven", a valuable word that signifies something has been tried and tested. To be able to prove something is extremely powerful. "Health", when used with a health product is always a must. "Discover", everyone has a little Christopher Columbus or Sherlock Holmes in them. Convincing the prospect that you have discovered the secret to their needs and that they need to discover it, is always useful and effective. "Results", along with "Guarantee" are key to writing effective ad copy, in fact to mention that your prospect can expect "Guaranteed Results" is yet another good combination. "Love" is a word that catches the heart of your prospect. The last word I saved for last but it is the most important. In fact this next power word is number one in every study reviewed. Why? Because of it's personal nature. Is anyone with me here? I'm sure some of you have it. That word is "YOU". You should use it as often as possible, in fact, there are many copy writers who will throw out a headline if the word "YOU" isn't included. ..................................................................................... This New Epic Paridigm Is A Proven Concept That You Will Love as YOU Discover Dynamic Health And Guaranteed Results! Save Money While You Learn To Enjoy Your New Found Health ....................................................................................... Just an example using the words I gave you here. No, I don't have a health promo, but I wanted to illustrate how to blend some of "Power Words" into your ad copy so you can write more effective ads.
