When Catasrophe Strikes Who Are You Giving The Power To

I have been under attack, not so much physically but spiritually. Sunday morning, after claiming a physical healing at the church I attend, I came home to find that my laptop had been stolen. This laptop was less than a month old and it had my 8 gig memory usb device in it, so the thief not only stole my pc but the last year of all my efforts and hard work in trying to create a website and market on the internet. I must admit that the initial feeling of despair consumed me and I went through the motions of calling the police and getting the run around from them. It's a very frustrating feeling to know that your local police officers are too overwhelmed with this kind of thing and that the police operator even had the audacity to tell me that "they are busy working on more important things than a computer". The shame of it all is that I know who did it. The suspect was seen at the scene of the crime at about the same time the crime occured. My cell phone was also taken and now I sit, at the local library writing this blog. I have primarily been just trying to build relationships so you won't find many promotions that I have attempted to offer. So I sit here, wondering if this is even in God's will that I continue. I know that to give up is to fail and I'm not a quitter, and at the same time, I can't help but wonder if God has some greater plan for me that I just don't know about yet. I've always said that "if it's meant to be, it'll happen". Is this where God wants me? As I struggled for the first three hours after the crime, I talked to God and asked Him many questions and the only thing I've gotten out of it thus far is, "trust Me". Can you trust God in the midst of what appears to be your worst nightmare? Trust Me He says, and know that I AM God. He knows everything. He knew and saw my laptop disappear before it happened. He loves the person who stole it as much as He loves me and this is what I know. There are people dying in the world every day from some sort of injustice. There are people having to endure much more of a loss than a pc and a years worth of work. It's not the end of the world and I'm still alive, at the library, blogging to the world. I have gained many associates, and made a handful of friends and for that I am grateful. Life goes on and my website is still in one piece. Yes I had to go to over fifty websites and change passwords to protect my personal "stuff", but when it's all said and done, at the end of the day, That's all it is, is stuff. So when catastophe strikes, who are you giving the power to?
