I spent a very relaxing weekend at a lake in northern Minnesota with my family. It was our annual family reunion, a tradition that started about 15 years ago after our parents were tragically killed in a terrible car accident. The cabin is owned by my siter and youngest sibling Julie and her husband Kevin.

I am the oldest of 6, I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters, 3 adult children and many nieces and nephews.
With my siblings, spouses, their children(most are now adults, including my 3) and a couple of friends there were a total of 20 people and 3 dogs.
We boated, water skied, swam, relaxed by the fire, listened to the loons sing, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, some imbibed, played games, argued politics, had a couple of small family fights, and ate huge quantities of food. There is never a lack of food when my family gets together!
The sleeping arrangements were many and varied, tents, the cabin, the garage, a hammock by the lake. some even slept in reclined car seats.
My 22 year old son, who had a bit to much to drink, passed out in the hammock and woke up in his buddy's car, with no memory of how he got there. We all had a good laugh over that one.
All in all it was a very good, relaxing, and recharging weekend, I am already looking forward to the next one.
