What is going on with some of these ads?

As I was scanning the system this morning, I felt compelled to write about this subject.  I think its important as everyone on this platform relies on their ads to keep their offerings in front of people while they are away from IBO.  And as I was drinking my coffee and looking over things I kept saying to myself, Whats going on with some of these ads?

So, lets breakdown a couple of things...

#1 Does your ad even display?
Right off the bat, everyone needs to check to make sure their ad is displaying properly.  If your ad is not displaying at all, then its not really going to do much good.  To do this, use the preview button on ad creator.  This will display your ad exactly the way others will see it (without using impressions).  If your ad is not displaying, then you need to fix the image url of the ad.  

hint: You should be able to put the image url of your ad directly into a browser window and display your ad.  If your  ad does not display, then you have something worong with the url.

#2 Is the Ad the correct Size?
IBOtoolbox lets you run many different size ads in different locations throughout the platform.  However, a big mistake happens when a member puts in the Image URL for a wrong size ad for the size they are adding.  Let me explain a different way..  If you are creating a 728x90 ad, dont put a URL for a 468x60 ad.  Make sure the size of the image = the size of the  ad.

Have you ever seen an ad that looks all stretched out?  Or is all pixelated and unreadable?  This is what happens when you use the wrong size image.

#3 No call To action
There MUST be a call to action for someone to do something when they see your ad.  So many times I see ads that are a nice profile picture, a meadow, I think I have even seen a nice rainbow at one point...  but, what am I suppose to do???  If you want people to call you, then tell them to call you.  If you want people to visit your website, them tell them to do so.  Your ads must have a call to action, otherwise your ads are no more than graphics on the website.

#4 Professional Ads
I have been sitting here for a few minutes now trying to figure out the best way of saying this..  I can not paint, I can not sing, I can not perform operations, and some of the members on IBO can not make ads..  :)  

Ads are so important to our online marketing niche.  They are our representative to the hundreds of thousands of visitors that look at IBOtoolbox everyday.  Your Ad needs to look the same way you believe in your business.  Your ad needs to be professionally done.  If your ad does not look good... What do you have out there representing you?

#5 Make it POP! / Standout
IBOtoolbox platform usually has around 10k banner ads running at any one time.  Your banner ad needs to stand out!  Animated banners work well, but not too flashy because visitors just think those are annoying.  Clean, Clear cut message, not so much reading required, and straight to the point works best.

Another great way to stand out, is stars and badges.  Because IBOtoolbox displays your name, stars and your badges along with your banner ad, it makes it quite easy to stand out.  Think about it from an outsider (non member) point of view.  I see 2 ads...  1 ad has a persons name with 1 star, and the other ad looks like a decorated war veteran.  Who pulls more weight?  Who is going to get the click?

One of the easiest ways to get a badge on your name, is to become an IBOcontributor.  If you are serious about advertising your business, then you are most likely purchasing credits or are a member of clubIBO.  In this case, you will have the badge displayed with your ad.  If you don't, go to the credit center and read up on the contributor badge.  IBOcontributor badge holders have the most success on IBOtoolbox  

#6 IBOtoolbox mobile App
Many members are now using the IBOtoolbox mobile app.  Did you know that you can run an ad there?  The placement of this ad is at the top, all by it self.  It is a single ad that gets all the attention of the mobile user.  If you are not running an ad there, you need to be.

#7 Ad Placement on IBOtoolbox
Quick Story:  I recently had a cyber security friend of mine that works for a large (fortune 100) company look at IBOtoolbox traffic with me through a network sniffer.  (Geek tool that analyzes network traffic).  After analyzing the sniffer reports for a little while he looks at me and says, um... I think you are under a DOS attack. (Denial of Service)  I looked at it, then at him and said, no thats just IBOtoolbox on a Wednesday.. It will pick up even more later..  He says wow thats alot of traffic..

IBOtoolbox has hundreds of thousands of unique visitors coming to its sites everyday.  On each of these pages we have different sizes and locations for our member ads.  Take advantage of all the different spots to make sure your ads are coming up and getting in front of our visitors.  

Because of the nature of IBO, IBOtoolbox visitor traffic is as targeted are your going to find anywhere.

In closing, take a few minutes and take a look at your ads.  You might be suprised to find something you missed and need to change/fix
