I don't know for sure if I have any complete answers to my recent discovery. I became aware that I resist myself even when I think I'm not. I use distraction, diversion, and other nonproductive thoughts to avoid productive, focused efforts. Just becoming aware has assisted in improvement. I was aggravated at myself at first, then decided it was best to make the best of the awareness. For example, I'm at the computer to work and I find myself listening to internet radio and playing computer games. It is a form of zoning out! I can totally entertain myself for hours. I am open to suggestions. One of the things I've tried, is to not try to 'work' 24/7. Actually, schedule a time period to focus and concentrate on producing. Also to have some time for entertainment is OK. Another is to review the goals and to substantiate that I am entirely ready to achieve them. The last idea to improve is to ask myself what's in it for me to resist. Just why am I doing the resisting? Must have some motivation. Hope this helps if you do some of the same things. I'm still going to have a good day, anyway. Cheers.

 | | I have found myself doing the same thing, in a way...I procrastinate. I recently found a way to stop this It is called tapping. Google "the tapping solution" you will find it. They have a tapping for procrastination. I am really psyched on this tapping, and they are the only cure for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder By the way. I did the procrastination tapping once and I am already a new person getting things done. Good luck. and thanks for posting this. Loved it. |
