Advertising. Do You Use The Formula?

There are many ways to advertise your business and banner ads are a great choice. They are attractive and easy to click on. Your job when creating your ad, whether iit's a banner or a classified text ad, is to get your ad clicked. When designing your ad there is a formula you should follow to get the best results. Here is the formula: A, I, D, A. A: Attention. this is your headline, it must attract attention straight away. think of something relevant to your offer that will attract your attention. Ask friends if it will attract their attention. See how newspapers write their headlines. I: Interest. This can be a sub headline. (this is what I do) Again, newspapers do this. You can use more than one sub headline if you have a long sales copy. Add some text if it is needed to keep the reader interested. Ask friends if they find it interesting. D: Desire. This is the body of your ad. Write 2 - 3 sentences (more if required) that will create a desire in your readers mind. tell your reader about the benefits he or she will get from your product or service. Tell the reader why they must get your product. Ask a friend. A: Action. this is where you tell (not ask) your reader to take action. Click Here, Fill In The Form, or whatever action you want from them. Reinforce your call to action with a benefit they will get for taking action, or what they will lose if they don't. Read the ad to yourself and ask friends for their opinion. the ad must flow easily from attention through to action. If it doesn't flow, change the words or sentences until it does. This is not the end. Once you have posted your ads the results need to tested to see which ads are working and which ads need to be changed or replaced.
