This is a work in progress and not finished yet. Look out for version 2 coming soon. This work will evolve into a masterpiece (my opinion) This article is written in partnership with Jamie Hord. There are millionaires created on the internet daily. How are they doing it? If they can, can you? There are other ways of living, we don’t need to live our lives in the ”rat race” with your usual job, your daily commute and keeping up with the Joneses. Brainstorming and interacting with ordinary people who have already made their millions is a great way to find out how they started and what they did to keep going. The Internet has the possibility to reach millions of potential customers and making you a millionaire. Just a few steps could help you start making the money you've only dreamed of. 1. Decide what niche you are going to market to and create a website. Give something away FREE. Right, free, but require them to sign on to your list to receive it. 2. Respond quickly when a visitor signs up. 3. Send the new subscriber some new quality information. Promote a product or products. 4. Promote your website and continue to add subscribers to your list. 5. Create a newsletter that goes out every week. Remember this is going to your niche market so be sure to include quality information and earn the trust of your visitors. 6. Include some offers in your newsletter. Don't be afraid to sell something! Using these six simple steps, you too can make millions on the Internet. Let’s take a look at the facts. Almost 39% of the worlds wealth is controlled by the worlds millionaires and billionaires. 97% of the total world wealth is controlled by just 3% of the population. Do you want to belong in the 3% group or the 97% group of people? One of the secrets of the millionaire is that they believe in is setting goals. They set goals that seem impossible to the 97% group of people. Not only do they set big goals but they write them down. They have pictures of them and they have a plan and follow it through until their goals are achieved. To become a millionaire do what a millionaire does. On the internet there are millionaires created almost daily. How are they doing it? They are setting up sales funnels. What is a sales funnel? The sales funnel begins with a lead capture page or squeeze page as they are also known. The squeeze page grabs the attention of prospects who then send their name and email address in a form, which triggers an autoresponder to start sending out a series of sales messages. Some of the prospects become buyers, who purchase an entry level product, demonstrating that they have a need for what is on offer. The sales funnel autoresponder continues to feed sales messages to the buyers while filtering out and refining the specific target customer, offering them high value products at higher prices. It is this filtering that leaves the most responsive buyers who will go on to make the owner of the sales funnel the most profits. Of course, all the other buyers aren’t ignored they continue to be fed sales messages tailored to their needs. They build a mailing list. What is a mailing list? Every day on the internet you hear the same thing over and over. “The money is in the list” A mailing list is the list of names and email addresses that have been collected by the squeeze page or another optin form elsewhere on your website. People usually sign up to mailing lists to be kept updated about things relevant to their interests. Electronic email marketing is quick and reliable, as the people on your mailing list will receive your message almost instantly after you send it. It is essential to categorize the people on your list. Some will open all your emails, click on the links and purchase your offers. Others won’t open them at all or read the odd one or two. Because of this, it’s important to know who your more responsive customers are. It’s a good idea to put all your most responsive customers in their own section of your list. You can then send extra special offers to these people. As they will be your top earners (The 20% of your list who will make you 80% of the money) you want to treat them well and make sure they’re happy. If they’re happy they’ll be more likely carry on doing business with. It’s much easier and cheaper to keep an existing customer than to find a new one. They send out a regular email newsletter. What is an email newsletter? An email newsletter is content sent to subscribers by email on a regular schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.). The content in the email should be of value to your subscribers and not commercial message with a sales offer. Your offer should be included but the main part of the newsletter should be valuable information. Why do you need an email newsletter ? By sending out special offers and benefits for loyal customers, those who support your business you are encouraging them to keep buying from your business. Contests and free giveaways for participating in feedback surveys can further help you serve your customers needs, and help you to keep them updated about new products. They build a website and drive visitors to it. Why do I need a Web Site? If you are not advertising where your competition is your business will be left behind. In the past, when your customers were looking for a product or service, they would look in the phone book or at the ads in a newspaper. Rarely would they find a photo advertisement with a list of services or products offered. With the Internet today, that same customer will go to a search engine like Google or Yahoo, type in some keywords and in seconds will be presented with a list of businesses offering what they are looking for. They then click on the links and in seconds the web pages are loaded with product pictures, descriptions, instructions, price lists, maps and phone numbers, and even online shopping which allows the customer to order products and services without ever leaving their house or office. Not having a web site will soon be like not having an ad in your local phone book. your potential customers will want to check out your well designed, professional web site which has lots of information and photos. The cost of maintaining a Web site is probably the most cost effective advertising you’ll ever do. Today, the Internet is one of the first places a person who has access to a computer will go to get information. If you are promoting affiliate links you are promoting replicated websites, sites that have been copied hundreds of times. Search engines ignore duplicated content so you are missing out on search engine traffic if you only have a replicated website. You need a unique website with information that is unique to you. So I Need A Website. What Next? First, you need to decide what information you would like to offer on your site. You will need an “About Me” page describing who you are, your interests and why you are in business. You will need a “Mission Statement” describing what the business objectives are and what you will do for your customers. You will need a “contact Page” with information on how you can be contacted. Finally you will need a “privacy policy” to reassure customers that you respect their privacy and will keep their information safe. You can include as many pages as you like describing your products and services or offering information you feel is relative to the needs of your customers and prospective customers. Don’t forget the most important element. Always have an optin form on your website. How do they drive visitors to their websites? The first thing you should do is place your site name or URL ( on all your printed material (invoices, checks, business cards, etc.) on your vehicles, on your ads and anywhere else it makes sense.Send out some email to your contacts. Now you should submit your url to the search engines so your site will to get listed in searches on engines like Google and Yahoo. SEO. Search Engine Optimization. You need to understand the search engines and how they operate. The easier you make it on the search engines, the more visitors you'll have to your blog or website. There are thousands of search engines on the Internet. Google, Yahoo and MSN are the most popular. When someone online looks for information, they type a word or phrase in that search box. A word is called a “keyword” and a phrase is called a “longtail Keyword”. The keywords that people are typing in the search box are important. Type in “work from home” for example, and this tells the search engine you want information on “work from home”. The search engine then searches for every page on the Internet that mentions the keyword “work from home”. The search engine then organizes all of those pages in order of their relevancy and shows them on screen in your web browser. This list is called an Index, It's a list of every page on the Internet where you can find the keyword “work from home”. If you don't use keywords on your webpage your page won't be included in the index. The search engines look for the words that the searcher types into the search box. If they don't find those words on your website, they move on to the next site. Using keywords is only the beginning. There are hundreds of things you can do to make it easier for the search engines to find your site. Search Engine Optimization is the process of making it easier for search engines and the people doing the searching to find and understand your website. What you're doing is creating paths for the engines and people to follow. Other SEO techniques include building backlinks and using anchor text links within your content to link related blog posts and pages within your website. Using alt tags to identify your images. The most important is using anchor text links to link other relevant blogs and websites. Other methods to get back links are, commenting on blogs, writing articles and posting them to article directories. SEO techniques evolve on a daily basis.
