Baby Blues. Reasons To Be Greatful. Goals and plans. You might be thinking this is a strange title. It is, but there is a good reason for the title. Read on. My partner Risty just gave birth to our baby boy. Joshua Thomas. In a hospital in the Philippines. Baby blues. Josh was born late which meant he needed special treatment. Josh and Risty both had a private room and round the clock attention of the nurses and a specialist doctor. The level of care was excellent and both recovered well and are now at home as a normal mother and baby. Reasons to be grateful. In the UK we have a National Health Service. It would have been free for Risty to have Josh in a UK hospital. However, in the Philippines the patient needs to pay for the hospital. I am so grateful for our Health Service. Too many people don’t appreciate what they have. However, Risty wasn’t in the UK, Risty was in the Philippines. The hospital bill was going to be $825.00 we were only prepared for a $150 bill and I didn’t have $825 in the bank. Goals and plans. I am a builder and recession had hit the trade, I hadn’t been working for 5 months. I was prepared and had a plan to earn my income from the internet. Had it not been for my goal of financial independence and my hard work online I would not have been able to pay the hospital. I was just starting to build a profitable online business at the time Risty was in hospital. The income from the internet wasn’t enough to pay the hospital. Now I had a new goal. I needed to get $825 in a weekend. I transferred some money from Alert pay, made some telephone calls and worked all weekend on some building work. I hadn’t intended to go back to building but I had no alternative. I had a goal to achieve and I had a plan to achieve it. I got the $825 in 2 days and paid the hospital. I just wanted to share my story to show what can be achieved when you have a goal and a plan of action. I am happy to say thet Risty and Josh are both doing great and my goal is to be together with Mother and son in July/August 2012. My website:
