Learning A Valuable Lesson The Hard Way life lessons

I opened my computer, hoped on my favorite social site and saw something you never, ever want to see. A message that one of my friends and jv partners was in an terrible accident that resulted in him having lots of fractures and a brain injury.. This was so out of the blue, so unexpected and so sad.
The thing that really makes me sad about this is my actions just before this happened. My friend wanted to chat via Skype and I put him off because I had some business things I “had” to get done. I had no bad intentions and thought I had time to meet with him in a couple days when my schedule freed up a bit. Then the accident happened and now I don’t know when I will get that chance.
I have always valued my friends and associates but this showed me my priorities had started to get mixed up. You never know what can happen and I never want to have the regret of putting business before the important people in my life.
I learned a valuable lesson the hard way this week. My business is extremely important to me but I was reminded this week to never let it come before people.

 | | I understand Angela. I attended an informal 30 year high school reunion last Saturday, which during this time we all learned one of our friends was killed in a car accident the night before. I was one of the lucky ones to spend time with him last year. |
| | | | | Hello Angela. It's sad you learned this the hard way. It can happen to anyone at any time. I always say "friends before business" I know you will take that saying as your own now. I hope your friend will make a full recovery. |
