After the storm
Franklin County, Alligator Drive, storm, weather, beach

 VISIT WEBSITE (learn more)

It was a long, fairly slow day today after all the excitement yesterday. The beaches were packed with visitors yesterday and there were plenty of fireworks displayed for everyone to see and I was asleep through the whole thing! Yes, I missed the fireworks and didn't even hear the grand finale. I was dead tired.

After a night of partying, I assume, someone rammed their vehicle into the huge tree trunk that the workers placed across the portion of Alligator Drive that was hit the worst by the storm. The tree trunk was pushed about 2 yards from where it was placed and sat partially blocking the only road in and out of here. I almost hit the darn thing this morning. Thankfully, when I returned it had been pushed to the side of the road (I would have pushed it but I doubt I would have been strong enough to budge it, lol).

Summer is in full swing and the heat is almost unbearable but it's beautiful on the beach and the water is just right.
