One crucial tooth whitening tip is to make sure that you avoid mouthwashes. While many companies claim that they are beneficial to your oral health, they can cause more harm than good by staining your teeth. The alcohol in mouthwashes can also dry out your mouth which will lead to bacteria growth. A great at home tooth whitening solution is using dried bay leaves and orange peels that have been dried. Merely grind these ingredients together and add some water on your toothbrush. This can not only help whiten your teeth, but it also can prevent dental diseases that can happen over time. If you are going to the dentist to have bleaching treatments, be sure not to overdo it. People get excited at the results they see, so they think their teeth will get even whiter if they continuously get them bleached.
 
Unfortunately, the only effect of this is teeth that turn blue! There is no real evidence that teeth whitening products will harm a baby during pregnancy or nursing. Contrary to popular belief that it is good for your teeth it has been shown to have a staining effect! Other countries have altogether banned the use of it in their water because of dangers.
