Tis the Season

This is the season to be "Thankful" for what God has done, no matter how big or small. Be grateful for everything that you have today, and thankful for what is in store for your life and the lives of those around you. This is the day our father was birth and we should be rejoicing to have lived to see another one of his birthdays.....give with a loving and faithful heart to someone in need today and everyday thereafter.

Below is a list of 15 heartfelt actions one can do starting today and throughout the new year and beyond:

1) volunteer at the food bank

2) serve dinner at a local homeless shelter

3) become a mentor big brother/sister to an at-risk youth

4) purchase someone a tank of gas

5) give someone a bus pass

6) buy dinner for someone you don't know (ask the cashier to keep it secret)

7) give a gift card to any random person (it doesn't have to be a lot as it's the jester that counts)

8) send handwritten thank you notes to those who've impacted your life in a positive way.

9) check on an elderly neighbor

10) run errands for someone

11) bring co-workers breakfast (something simple like bagels)

12) give a compliment

13) ask someone how they are doing

14) post positive affirmations daily on your social media platforms

15) ask anyone if they need help.

It doesn't cost us one penny to be kind to others, although there are times you won't receive it in return. The kindness is to help you reap the reward of feeling good because you extended well-being to others.

Our season is to give abundantly without expecting anything in return. Let's close 2017 with a bang and ring in 2018 with an open mind, giving heart, no expectations, genuine in all that we do and most of all, do GOOD DEEDS with Integrity.

Have a wonderfully blessed and joyous day!

See you in the New Year,

Barb Warren & Family
