What's more important?...
To make more money, or save more money?
This is the question I like to ask my prospects before we even start talking about the details. The follow up questions are "why? What would you use the money for?"
By asking this simple question, you get your prospects thinking about why they would want to take on something new. When exposed to your information, they are typically going to be thinking if they can do it and if it would be worth their time. If you expose their why ahead of time, they can answer those questions for themselves. After all, we have our own reasons for doing what we do.
When you first considered the thought of starting your journey down the road of network marketing, you most likely had a reason why you decided to join your respective company. I know I started in mine with the dream of getting my life back. I wanted to stop trading my time for money and start trading it for freedom.
In order to reach your goals, it's so important to remember your personal why. Write it down and put it up on your wall. Display it proudly! When times get rough, look at that at it will help push you through. A dream board is another great idea that can help us all stay focused on the prize. Clip pictures of the car of your dreams, the house of your dreams, whatever stirs your ambitions.
Recently I went through an exercise with my team and asked them to quickly write down 25 things they are going to get when they promote to the top level in the organization. Aim high I told them. See by telling them to think of 25 things they will get when they reach their goal, they thought of things they wouldn't have normally. It put them in the right mindset.
Try it with your own teams. You will be amazed at some of the things they will think of. They can then go back once in a while and look at those items. They are also reasons why they are working the business.
Anything we can do to help maintain the mindset we need to keep driving forward and push ourselves is a good thing. Go out of your comfort zone, focus on your why and good things will happen.
Thanks for allowing me to share.
To your continued success.

 | | Great blog Bruce. First of all you need to make money to be able to save any. Everyone has a different "why" but unless you have the attitude, determination and passion, those whys are only dreams. A TL&B for you my friend. |
| | | | | We agree with the idea each person has a different why. One of my personal favorites is I would like to ride a camel. This in itself is not unique at least in some parts of the world. Because this is one of my goals two things have to occur. I have to build enough use of my legs for it to be possible, and I have to go somewhere camels are ridden. Step one is coming along nicely, the second I see on my facebook wall often. |
