"Great Day For Thanking Our Veterans"

Today was a great day.  Celebrating our vets and the sacrifices they did for our country.  Men and women that went beyond.  I just want to thank each and everyone of them.  Sure I did my time too, but some really paid the price of it all.
I really appreciate the businesses that take the time to share their place of business with veterans on "Veterans Day" thank you.  I guess the first time I got a free meal was from Applebees Restaurant.  I was welcomed by the staff and thanked me for my service.   Then given menus that most folks would think they were going over board, but they wanted the best for us.  Hey, the meal was great and I could tell other vets felt the same.  It was a day of networking with comrades of the past and present.
There are a lot others that have taken the same approach to honor the veterans too.  So, Thank you to all the businesses that pitched in on this special day.
Today there were parades at places and other doings too.  It kind of makes a person feel rewarded for serving.  The cemeteries had lots of celebrations and flags on the graves of the brave men and women who died for our country too.  Driving down the streets in town and in Neighbor hoods were flags flying celebrating this day.  I guess it's an eye opener to some that really don't realize what some have done for them.
Today makes us so thankful just to be living here in the USA.
