You are pregnant and you just got the word from your ob/gyn that you on bed rest till the end of your pregnancy. Now what do you do? You may or may not get sick pay and if you don't you just took a decrease in your pay being on unemployment. One answer to this dilemma is to start your own business. Being on bed rest gives you plenty of time to get a good start on your business, whatever business you choose. After you give birth, you are officially in maternity leave. You still have time to keep your business going and maybe by the time you go back to work, you will have made enough money to stay home, with your child and your business and quit your job. It is a possibility especially here in Canada because maternity leave is one full year. The key would be to use tools for advertising your business that will also give you cash flow.
