Formal Education or Entrepreneurial Intellect

Which one to you is more important to you? Formal Education or Entrepreneurial Intellect? If you have kids which one would you tell them is more imortant?

To me, entrepreneurial intellect is way more important than formal education. I say this because, most of what is learned in school we do not need or come in handy as an adult. What most people need to know, they don't know! Like how to file taxes, how to buy a house, how to invest in stocks and bonds, CD's, buying rental units. Using an algebraic equation doesn't really come in handy.

You can go very far with entrepreneurial intellect and if you add a great hustle to it, if could make you wealthy. Formal education just prepare you on how to be an employee and get a great job, and you'll probably end up working for a company who was created by the person with the entrepreneurial intellect.

I was not given entrepreneurial intellect, I read and learned how to start my own business, and kept learning and growing from there when I was 18. I think it is very important to teach our children entrepreneurship at a very young age.

Have you ever noticed why it is very easy to get a $30,000 loan for college, but very hard to get a $5,000 loan to start a business? Know why? Simply because, people would rather you be a employee than an entrepreneur.
