Mary Kay has launched a new campaign called Operation Sun Block to help the troops in the Middle East. Temperatures in Iraq and Afghanistan reach well over 100 degrees every day during the summer months and there is a great need for our soldiers to have protection from the sun. Because of the desert heat and intense sun rays, sunburns are a common problem among our military personnel.
There are lots of brands of sunscreen products on the market, but because the dirt does not stick to the Mary Kay products they are a good option for the soldiers to use. Also, Mary Kay sun products are endorsed by the Skin Cancer Foundation.
Soldiers receive many different toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, etc., but not sunscreen. You can help provide our military personnel with this much needed item. Our troops risk their lives every day to protect our freedom; the least we can do is protect them from the sun.
