Your Why Should Make You Cry

Do you remember why you got into network marketing in the first place? Was it to make more money? Was it so you could spend more time with your family? Was it because you wanted to travel the world?
To become a success and a leader in network marketing you need to a have a strong “why.” You have to have a reason that is so strong that you do the things necessary to be successful. You have to know and believe in your “why” so you get up early and stay up late.
The Mind Does Not Know the Difference!
Our mind makes decisions everyday, consciously and subconsciously. What we are thinking about determines our success or failure in whatever we do. If you are consistently thinking negative thoughts and projecting a negative attitude, then you will find yourself surrounded by negativity and failure. The more you complain, cry and whine about how life is treating you, then the worse life will treat you. But, on the other hand if you find the good in everything, treat obstacles as opportunities, you will find more opportunities and success surrounding you.
Your brain does not know the difference between reality and imagination. When you think about when you started in network marketing, you started with the dream. The dream of a lifestyle that network marketing can bring you. You must live that dream in your mind everyday until it becomes your reality. You must imagine your perfect day. The day that you are financially free. The day when you can go to your mailbox (or email these days) and a check will be there whether you worked that month or not.
You Can’t Hit a Target You Can’t See!
To get started you need to know where you are going, you must envision your target. The target is your “why".” If you are not aiming, you will miss. Get out a piece of paper and start creating and imagining what it will be like to get up when you want to, go have lunch wherever you want, pick you kids up from school. Write down what it will feel like to not have to worry about paying the bills and if you’ll have enough money in the bank. What will it mean to you to have your kid’s college paid for or not having to worry about money in your retirement years. Spend a few minutes today writing and dreaming about your financial freedom date. Before you can get where you want to go, you must have the target clearly defined.
What did you write down? Did you imagine taking your family to Walt Disney World? Did you imagine taking your spouse to the most expensive restaurant in town? Or did you dream about paying the cable bill? Your “why” must be compelling and exciting; not mundane like paying bills. Your “why” must excite, entice, and motivate you. To achieve your “why” must be as necessary as breathing. You become unstoppable when you re-live it in your mind. You must believe and be passionate about your “why.”
Why did you join your network marketing company? Was it to just pay some bills or was it something bigger? Was it to live the life of your dreams? To stay motivated and do the things that need to be done to be successful and be leader in the mlm industry, you must have a “why” that you are passionate about. A reason so compelling that nothing will get in your way. Not even a freight train can stop you from succeeding.
