What's Your Relationship With Fear?

What’s Your Relationship With Fear?

Fear is a powerful mindset. It traps you in the moment and paralyzes you from moving forward with a silence stronger than words.

13 years ago I found myself in a situation that led to an arrest and ensuing felony conviction. To say I was fearful is an understatement. I had no experience navigating the legal system nor what to expect as the process moved forward. Thankfully, probation and restitution were the outcome however the lessons presented are lifelong.

We must let go of fear in order to reach the pinnacles of success in life. Fear of failure, fear of judgment and fear of the perceptions others hold of us. Believe me, as a “felon” I’ve encountered them all, in personal relationships, in the workplace and in my own thought process.

The interesting part in this, the deepest damage and feeling of loss takes place within me. I don’t care others have chosen to move on from my life as a result.

I don’t care the perceptions others have of me. What I care for and have learned is how my own fear has trapped me into a mindset.

Fear of failure

Fear of rejection

Fear of not being good enough

Fear of success

In looking daily into my feelings, failures and successes, I see clearly how the smallest amount of FEAR can alter an outcome, a conversation and ability to move beyond limiting beliefs keeping you trapped in a moment that ended long ago.

While Danger may be real, Fear is an internal dialog that must be replaced with hope, faith and love.

Have a great day my friends…

Live Large, Dream Big, and Love Always!
