BE HONEST. The honesty and integrity of your business is very important. When you are totally and completely honest in all aspects of your transaction and dealings with people, your results are always going to be tremendously more fulfilling. It only takes one time of being dishonest with someone to ruin the reputation of your business.
KNOW YOUR PRODUCT. It is very important to know your product and the only way to KNOW your product is to USE your product. You may even find that some of your customers may come right out and ask you, “Do you use it?” or “Have you used it”? and “What did it do for you?” Experience makes it real. If you have experienced it, then it is easy for you to make it much more real to the customer than just sharing someone elses experience with it.
CREATE A PLAN. You’ve probably heard the saying, “Fail to plan then plan to fail.” If you do not have a plan set before you then you will have absolutely no idea what to do or how to go about your business. Take some time to just sit down and create a plan. Jot down lots of ideas. Start out with a couple ideas, go with them and see how they work. Give it time. If you see it isn’t working, proceed with a new one. Once the right plan is set in motion, sit back and watch it work. It’s exciting!
SET GOALS. I think that setting goals is very important. When we have those goals set before us, it tends to keep us motivated and determined. Set realistic goals yet a bit out of reach so that when you reach it, you will know that you worked extremely hard to do so, and you will benefit tremendously from the outcome. Keep continually analyzing, re-analyzing and resetting your goals, hopefully higher than they were the last time you set them, and reached them.
TEAM WORK. Work together as a T.E.A.M. Try to be of great help to others, especially those that you sign on who join your team. Refuse to allow GREED to set in. Greed is never a good thing to be seen in your business. It just turns people off. Remember to always keep YOUR business also as ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM. Always look out for the little guy. Do what you can to help others succeed, for when they succeed, you succeed. When we work as a TEAM, “Together Everyone Achieves More.”
NEVER GIVE UP. Never look at your business as a way to “get rich quick” or you’ll experience disappointment right off and want to give up. Treat your business as a REAL business and not just some hobby. And keep in mind that real businesses take anywhere from 3-5 years to get established and going good. If you may have a disappointing experience with a possible prospect that falls through, just keep your head up, and as my sponsor tells me, Just say “NEXT!” and move on looking for your next prospect. There IS someone out there who WANTS what we have to offer.
HAVE FUN. Yes, starting your own business IS a very serious thing,, but remember to always have FUN. Enjoy what you are doing, for this is your life, and your business. Yes, it is always going to be challenging, but you can make those challenges become enjoyable by seeing them as missions, tasks and lessons that need to be completed for you to move onto the next level. And most importantly say positive and confident and always remember to SMILE. It helps your day go better.
