I love our gift giving community. So many people who start out strangers become like family. I can't wait until the day when many of us from around the USA can get together and meet in person; bringing the community offline, having barbeques, parties, playing games and even putting together puzzles...you know, what members of communities do. :)
I'VE ALWAYS LOVED PUTTING PUZZLES TOGETHER AND WAS VERY GOOD AT IT SINCE I WAS THREE
I recently shared on another page an explanation of how the 'circle of blessing' activity boards worked. I've had several people viewing the page and very interested but the most common response that I get is, “Well, I'll wait to see if it works for you, THEN maybe I'll join”.
I think the "wait and see" attitude is more on the selfish side than the giving side and is exactly why it will take the "wait and see people" longer to get in the middle of a board and receive blessings if they did join. If we get in the community just to see what we can get out of it... we are missing the true reason this community was started.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE WHO FIRST HAVE A HEART TO GIVE
If you're just in it for yourself, this community is not for you. The most rewarding part of this community is seeing the lives changed of those YOU invited and knowing that YOU had a part in that change.
I don't say what I did about the “wait and see” attitude to be mean but only to try to get you to see that YOU are a piece of the puzzle needed to make this work for you and every member within the community. We need each other to help show others outside of the community see the completed picture of what this community is truly about.
It saddens me to see so many of my friends and family who struggle financially show no interest yet continue to struggle when all it takes is uniting with one another and those of us in the community so that we can all bless one another and bring ease to stressful financial lifestyles. So instead, we reach out to strangers, which is okay, because they then become new friends, but yet our friends and family remain in their financial struggles.
To finally see a change begin in your life, you have to be so totally sick and tired of where you are at. You have to be willing to take risks. You have to have a dream and a vision of seeing the whole picture of what we are all about, and how it can benefit your life.
