The rain was crashing hard against the house as the wind blew. All I could think was please lord do not let the internet go out. While the storms raged the thunder inside the house began to get louder.
While my six year old daughter and her friends ran up and down the hall, hiding from each other I could hear the screams "I got you." All of a sudden I heard my wife yell out " are you coming to play cards or what"

Our nephew and his wife and kids were over for the big card game. All I could think about was trying to write this blog and keep the storm from killing my thoughts. As I started to get up another thought hit me and I sat back down to type again.
Just about that time the door flew open and there was my wife looking at me with those beautiful blue eyes and asked me once again to please get off the computer and lets play. i quickly got up and left my work behind.
The entire game i could only focus on one thing, and that was I had to get this done. As the children had fun playing, one came running by and knocked a drink over and the fun began. As my wife began to talk to them, I slipped back into the room and finished this blog.
After I finished I returned to enjoy the rest of the afternoon with my family and friends.
