Confession: Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, then he that is in the world." ~1 John 4:4
Faith in God's greatness is paramount to our ability to walk in victory in this life. In this world we will be faced with many challenges. That is not a negative confession; it is a fact according to John 16:33, which states, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
What Jesus was saying to us is that even though we will have tribulation, we should be at peace because He has already overcome the world. He is inside of us, so WE have overcome the world. Hallelujah! Who is it that is in the world? It is satan. By default Adam handed his dominion of the earth over to satan; but with His blood, Jesus bought that dominion back on our behalf. However, we can only walk in it by our faith in what Christ did for us.
Even with this provision, there are many Christians living a defeated life. They are definitely on their way to heaven, but their earthly lives are in shambles. They are sick, broken, busted, and disgusted. Their lives do not look any better than the lives of the unbelievers. Are you walking in victory? Does your life look as if you have overcome the world? God has made the provision; now it is up to you to make use of it. Once you asked Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of your life, you were given the keys to God's Kingdom, along with the authority that comes as part of your inheritance in Christ Jesus.
In Matthew 16:19, Jesus says, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." I am excited about what God is doing in your life.
Ask God for a revelation of who you are in Christ as you walk with Him today.
