Why Do Good Things Happen …… To Bad People? … (Part 2)

Keeping God #1 in Your Business (PR_Vol_62)

Psalm 127:1 (KJV)
" Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain".

Invariably, people who ask this question “Why Do Good Things Happen To Bad People,” are asking the question because, at that particular moment and hopefully not for too long, they are focusing on the wrong thing. They are asking sometimes in envy, frustration, perplexity, desolation and a sense of annoyance. They are not recognizing, appreciating nor counting their everyday blessings.

We sometimes get discouraged when we feel like we’re doing everything that we know to do; praying, believing, confessing, working, living holy as best we know and yet our results seem to be far below our expectation.

On the other hand we see the person that seemingly has know acknowledgement of God in their affairs,  no reverence for His name and yet it seems as if everything that they touch turns to gold. We wonder why God seems to be giving them a pass.

My friend, God has the following to say to us.

Psalm 127:1 “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it…” ie, (To what end?)

Isaiah 55:8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

Proverbs 13:22 (KJV)  “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” Hmmmm.

Ecclesiastes 2:26 (NIV)  "To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind".

2 Corinthians 8:9 (NIV) 9) For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Child of God, what we must do is to Believe, rest in the Lord, do not fret or toil but listen to and be guided by the Holy Spirit; so that His promises may be manifest in our lives. Keep your focus on the finished work of Christ upon the cross on our behalf. His Grace is sufficient for us. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
