Is It Possible _ To Have Faith and Unbelief Simultaneously? (Part 1)

Keeping God #1 in Your Business (PR_Vol_72)

Mark 9:24 (KJV)
24) “And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief”.

Why is it that many Christians often face the challenge of not receiving and manifesting the promises of God in their lives in spite of praying confessing, doing and yet nothing happens? Have you ever been there? The easiest thing for us to say is that this situation is due to a lack of faith or little faith.  Not necessarily so.

Beloved, the truth is that we all have faith. You have faith to walk across the street and expect not to get run over. You have faith to enter a room and sit on a chair without first checking its structural integrity. So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. (Romans 10:17)NLT. You heard the Good News about Jesus Christ and you gained enough faith, and you believed enough to receive salvation.

Some of the accompanying gifts that came with your gift of salvation are Grace and THE measure of faith. “….according as God hath dealt to every man THE measure of faith” (Romans 12:3) KJV. “… to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:” (2 Peter 1:1) KJV. Notice that it does not say A measure of faith. One for Jack and another for Jill.

Jesus said, “if ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you”.  (Luke 17:6) KJV.  Jesus further said, in (Mark 11:22-25) "Have faith in God". (literal Greek, have the faith of God). God who gave us His only begotten son also gave us HIS immeasurable faith.

So my friend, let’s settle the issue that we all have received THE standard issue requisite measure of abundant faith. We all received the same measure of Grace and eternal salvation. This brings us back to the previous question. Why do we sometimes fail to manifest the divinely promised objects of our faith?

When the bible talks about, little faith (Mathew 16:5-12), weak faith (Romans 4:17-21) and great faith (Mathew 8:8-10), it is referring to the level of the belief or unbelief of that practitioner of faith in the word, the promises and the fished works of Jesus Christ. Just as you have different skill levels of practitioners in the medical field or any other profession, so too are there different levels of the practitioners of faith in the Gospel of Grace.

The thing that will most affect your success in the exercise of your faith will be the level of your unbelief. More Unbelief, Less Success. Less Unbelief, More Success. We don’t need more faith. What we need to do, is to keep the faith and reduce or eradicate the levels of our unbelief.

Our opening scripture above reveals to us that the father of the demonized boy had faith and belief that Jesus could heal his son, but at the same time, he had unbelief. This is why he said, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief“.

In Part 2 of this message (Click Here), we will cover further supporting scripture events, the different types of unbelief, how to recognize them and how to deal with them. Thank you for your time in reading this release and please come back because it gets more exciting.
