Give honor to whom honor is due.

Proverbs 31:10-12 [Amp]
10) A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls. … 11) The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil. … 12) She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her..”

What is the precious common factor that my wife has with fine quality wine? I'll tell you; with the passing years, she has gotten more precious beautiful and priceless. 29 years ago at a Passover Seder, My National Sales director tuned and asked me if I would like to review the application of a young man before he threw the application in the trash. He had not had any success with hiring the guy into our Financial Services Firm. I agreed, visited the man at his home the very next Monday evening, convinced him to show up on Wednesday and promptly got him hired.

The next week, he brought his aunt to the office, suggesting that we hire her. I was not at the office that day, so I had to go to her home with an associate the next day to interview and complete her hiring process. I found out that she was divorced single for a few years as was I, but I was still praying for a miracle re-unification of my marriage.

When I visited with her that morning, she was quite hospitable and eager to learn. I felt something unusual, deep in my spirit that caused me to tell her that she had a sweet spirit and since I would be her trainer, I would commit to stick by her until she attained the level of regional manager in the firm. Not only did I succeed in keeping that promise, but little did I know that I was unwittingly training the one to become my wife.

Against a few odds and by keeping our faith in God, we were married two years later. Now, 27 years down the road; with our blended family of five kids, nine grand kids and one on the way, I can say that all the highs the lows, the losses, achievements, amazing travels, and the hopes and aspirations that we have experienced; have only served to bring out and enhance that sweetness and the inner and outer beauty that I saw and felt on day 1. God has kept His promise to renew her youth.  (Psalm 103:5)

When God said, " It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him. " (Genesis 2:18) I know now, that he was talking about me and making my darling "LadyM" for me. That's what we call her. "LadyM".  Because she truly is an adorable LADY.

This past weekend one of our daughters blessed us with a short get-away to commemorate our 27th Anniversary. (Thank you Super Star). I'm glad to say that she renewed my contract for at least another 27 years and being the smart dude that I am, I quickly agreed and signed up for another tour.

After all, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing and receives favor from the LORD." (Proverbs 18:22). And when you've got the best, you don't sweat the rest. Thank you sweat heart, may God continue to love us through each other and teach us how to serve each other. You're the best. All grace, glory and thanks be to God. ... I'm just saying y'all. ... And may God continue to richly bless your relationships too. Thanks for your time reading this post.
